Disabled Accessible Wheelchair Friendly Villa in Spain

Visitor Comments

A well equipped Villa in a quiet location yet within a few minutes drive of shops & restaurants. Excellent accommodation very well adapted for a wheel chair user like myself (T4) .

A good sized pool with hoist, lovely gardens which are all accessible and super BBQ and out door eating space. Highly recommended, so much so that we'll be going back again this year.

Kind regards

Paul

Casa de Sueño is a superb three bedroom, two bathroom (one en-suite) villa set among the pines above Javea on the lovely Costa Blanca. The self-catering accessible villa, which is totally wheelchair friendly, is situated on a large level gated plot with beautiful landscaped gardens and a magnificent 10m x 5m pool with pool hoist. The gardens and pool are south facing making full benefit of the sunshine from early morning to late evening. Inside the villa is spacious and the accommodation caters for the disabled and able-bodied alike. The large master bedroom suite is ideal for the wheelchair user having an en suite bathroom with wheel in shower and shower chair.

As a T1 paraplegic of 34 years I have had numerous holiday disasters mainly due to the accessible holiday turningd out to be inaccessible. Last year my partner, Sue, and myself decided to spend the winter in the Costa Blanca region in Spain. We found excellent accessible accommodation with Lynda and Gavin Hutton at La Cala in Javea.

To our delight the villa next door, Casa de Sueno, the name of which coincidentally is based on our 2 names came up for sale. On viewing we found it had everything we were looking for.

It is set high above Javea, a popular resort with the British, in a quiet area yet convenient for shops, supermarkets and only a short drive to the beaches, bars, etc.

This accessible villa has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, the en suite having a large wheel-in shower, and is set in a large gated plot with lovely wheelchair friendly gardens. It has a large 10m by 5m pool with hoist and a BBQ.

We have decided to make this available to other wheelchair users so if you are interested just have a look at our website:
