The Wheelchair Sports Worldwide Foundation
is the funding and marketing division of the International Stoke Mandeville
Wheelchair Sports Federation which provides services to over seventy
member nations. The Headquarters are located at Stoke Mandeville where
sport for people with spinal injuries began in 1945 after the Second
World War. |

themselves, individuals with a first-hand understanding to the values

Wheelchair Rugby is the team sport for
tetraplegics, or anybody with an upper limb impairment. The game originated
in Canada when a group of tetraplegics decided to create a team sport
in which they could compete. In 1984 a demonstration match during
the Paralympic Games launched wheelchair rugby as an International
Sport. |
