I'm Not Done Yet

I'm writing a book about my life, focusing mostly on things that have happened after my accident, and I'm not done yet. Those four words are not only the status of the book; they're also the title "I'm Not Done Yet." I'm working on the book and I'm hoping this blog helps with some ideas for the book. So, please feel free to comment on the blog entries. Thanks, Mike Patrick

Keep Bloggering On!!

I'm a wheelchair user, this came about by means of an unfortunate incident and rather dodgy back. My husband, ever an inspiration cheered me up no end by shouting "KBO Chaps" around the house while doing a very bad Churchill impression. Still it made its mark, and Im now doing the blog! I live in the far north of England with my husband, children and hunting, shooting, fishing beagles (retired) just a stones throw from Hadrians Wall.

Placerville Spinal Cord Injury Support Group

Not long after his injury, Lynn Murray discovered that contact with other sci's was essential to his recovery. The drive to support group meetings at UC Davis was too far from Placerville. So, after some "market surveying", Murray started up an sci support group there in 2007. The group continues to grow as its existence becomes better known throughout the region.

The meetings' informal tone establishes a level of comfort that allows wheelchair users to discuss challenges and come up with possible solutions.
