Spinal Injuries Support

Services offered by spinal injury solicitors

Below are services which a good spinal cord injury solicitor should offer, or be knowledgeable about when you contact them.

The above information has been adapted from articles supplied by Serious Law.

Visit the Spinal Cord Injuries and Compensation discussion forum for any queries regarding legal or compensation issues.

Assistance Dogs

On behalf of clients, solicitors and lawyers maintain a relationship with the UK charity Dogs for the Disabled. This charity trains assistance dogs to help those who have suffered spinal injury achieve as great a level of independence as possible.

Every dog is trained to help with simple everyday tasks such as opening doors, picking up the morning post, emptying the washing machine, even retrieving dropped items such as a TV remote, keys or a wallet.

The strength of assistance dog ownership lies in the partnership created between the owner and dog. Full training is provided to assist the new owner with every aspect of the dog’s care, this includes everything from feeding and grooming, to the practical task work that the dogs provide.

In addition, an assistance dog gives enormous psychological benefits, breaking down barriers and helping to improve confidence and stress levels.
